In-Person Connection

The main purpose of this app is to get the user to meet other people in the area with similar interests with the purpose of meeting up to exchange their books. Since social media often has the intent to connect people, I wanted to take that further and actually have people meeting in person and getting together rather than just communicating through the app.

Challenges and process

Designing something that would be viewed on a smaller scale, and thinking through multiple layers of information was one of the biggest challenges. I first had to think of the purpose of the app and what kind of functions I wanted it to include before I tried to address it through design. Once I had the concept fully mapped out, I went through and decided what order made the most sense to navigate through the app and how to create a new book swap.
