Repurposed: Branding
Repurposed is a planner company, designed and branded to bring fun and creativity into the daily workflow. Identified by bright pops of color and clean, bold design, the branding invites the user to bring their own creativity into the planner.
About the Brand
Repurposed offers three main types of planners that cater to different interests and activities the customer is most interested in. The calendar layout is the same in all of the planners, but on the back of each calendar spread the activities vary.
Challenges and Process
The brand package had many different pieces that needed to fit together to accurately give a feel for the company and its purpose. The mailer had the purpose of tying together the theme of turning the page to something designed to get your mind off of the plain day-to-day work and the vision of the brand to get potential customers interested. It was potentially the most challenging and most important piece so that all of the other deliverables could follow inline with the brand and vision of the company.
Details in Design
Every piece used in the branding has an element of creativity and exploration for the user. The business cards double as a bookmark for the planner, the letterhead contains origami instructions on the back side, and the wraps for the packaging have corresponding colors to the type of the planner that is revealed through the knocked-out logo on the box.
Bright & Bold
Each part of the brand needed to exude the fun that is to come through letting creativity into the (sometimes not so fun) workday. I used simple line-drawing illustrations and icons to give Repurposed a clean look that could be translated across the brand using the various colors designated for each planner type.
